Two feather-light vanilla sponges, homemade raspberry-rose jam, lashings of vanilla bean buttercream, dusted with icing sugar. Made to be eaten around a kitchen table with a proper cup of tea.

About the baker
I bake from a small kitchen in the Cotswolds, mostly on weekends, usually with the radio on and a dog under the table. What began as Saturday cakes for neighbours has turned into a proper little bakery — and somehow, into my favourite part of the week.
